Made from heavy duty cast iron, the Firewood Splitter is a simple and safer tool for turning firewood into kindling for wood-fired bathing, outdoor cooking, fire pits, and more. Designed in collaboration with Toronto-based Castor design studio, the Firewood Splitter is both functional in use and sculptural in presence, for an elevated and enjoyable alternative to an axe.
Designed as a modern heirloom to be passed down for generations, the Firewood Splitter is backed by a lifetime warranty. Instead of a blade that floats within the frame, we’ve uniquely engineered the Firewood Splitter with a fully supported blade, so you don’t have to worry about it shifting or flexing over time — allowing you to split wood consistently and confidently for years to come.
Over time, the Firewood Splitter will earn a beautiful, natural patina. As an optional addition, the Firewood Splitter can be cared for by sharpening the cast iron blade and conditioning the surface with our Tool Sharpener and Tool Wax, if desired.
