A.S. is the combined energy of Julie Pointer Adams and Ryan Adams, partners in both work and life. After collaborating on personal projects for a decade, ATELIER SUNHOUSE is their holistic answer to the question: How can we make our everyday experiences and encounters (and those of others) feel more vivid—freer, more spirited, and more creatively alive? Their collective years of experience and diverse areas of expertise make them uniquely capable for meeting a variety of challenges together.

Julie’s ongoing work as an author and photographer is built on years working across the creative sphere: earning an MFA in environment design; developing Kinfolk Magazine’s global event series as Community Director in Kinfolk’s early years; freelance art direction and styling; solo-running an independent floral studio; masterminding and building creative shop installations; interior consulting for private clients; shooting for private and commercial clients. Ryan’s former career in education and many years working creatively with adolescents have honed his on-the-spot problem-solving skills, logistical and operational prowess, practical know-how for basically anything, and ability to remain calm while maintaining a sense of humor under pressure.

Together they take a playful but deeply considered approach to life and work. Detail-oriented and spontaneous, dreamers and doers, adventurers and homebodies, experimental and classic… ATELIER SUNHOUSE is a meeting of the mind and heart working in tandem.
